Flags for the Fourth Dimension
(2011)
seersucker fabric, snaps/press studs; dimensions variable
There's the time-space continuum. It's an infinite grid in neon blue on a darkest blue ground. There's a voice explaining the concept. It's a man's voice — measured and angular.
He picks up two points of the grid and brings them together to explain how time and space might come together.
I take the two points from him, put press studs on them and click them together. Then more points and more press studs. I twist the time-space continuum, wring it, intertwine it and snap it together here, there, now and then.
